Professional and Educational Background

Dr. Evan B. Freedman, a Licensed Psychologist, received his Ph.D. and MA in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. He also earned a Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard University. He has been licensed in Washington State since 1999. Dr. Freedman has further post-doctoral training and experience in the ethics and delivery of forensic psychological services. He has special interests in Multicultural issues and Native American culture as well as forensic assessment of those with developmental disabilities . His evaluations focus on strengths as well as problem areas and emphasize treatment recommendations designed to improve function. Dr. Freedman has provided expert witness testimony in multiple venues and is comfortable working with both prosecution and defense attorneys.

Dr. Freedman also maintains a clinical practice with children and families, is former supervisor of Adult Services at the Whatcom Counseling and Psychiatric Clinic, and is actively involved with research, lecturing, and writing in the field of applied psychology.
