Leslie A. Clawson received a Masters Degree in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. She has specialized training in the area of disordered eating and has worked in the Intensive Outpatient/Day Treatment level of care for a number of years. She has significant experience working with women’s issues as well as anxiety and depressive disorders. Leslie has worked with children/adolescents, adults, groups, and families in the mental health field since 2000. She also brings a broad range of experience from work in the medical field as well as teaching. She has lectured to professionals, Junior College students, as well as in the community. Leslie utilizes relational-psychodynamic, experiential, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral theories in her work. Leslie also lectures on topics such as media literacy, body image and prevention of disordered eating.

Leslie enjoys spending time with her children and the family dog. She is an avid swimmer and loves to hike. She plays the piano and enjoys music of all kinds.
