Professional and Educational Background
Anne Misch is a second year graduate student at Western Washington University. She is working towards her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and has experience in WWU’s Counseling Training Clinic. She is a registered counselor in the state of Washington. Anne views counseling as an active and collaborative process that is constantly evolving in response to clients’ needs. Her approach is strength-based and solution-focused.
Areas of Specialization
Anne has experience doing individual, family and group counseling. Anne has volunteered her time as a parent educator and also as a mentor for elementary and middle-school students. She has been trained to work with a wide range of problems and disorders, using multiple therapeutic techniques and theories. Anne enjoys providing counseling services to clients of all ages and different backgrounds. She believes that warmth and acceptance on the part of the counselor are essential and uses a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach.
