Dr.
Dr. Prinster has specialized in multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare collaborating with primary care and specialty physicians and has a practice emphasis on cognitive behavioral treatment of insomnia, depression and anxiety, and integrative treatment of chronic health problems such as sleep disorders, weight management, pain, and smoking cessation. He also specializes in assessment and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has further post-doctoral education in couples, child, and adolescent evaluation and therapy.
In addition to his treatment specialties, Dr. Prinster provides comprehensive assessment services. He provides psychological assessment for all age groups in the areas of health psychology, general emotional and cognitive function, occupational fitness, competency and forensic evaluation, as well as potential for violence or suicide. His evaluations emphasize the formulation of specific and evidence supported treatment recommendations.
Dr. Prinster maintains a general clinical practice with adults, children and couples and is an active member of leading professional organizations in the field of applied psychology, including the American Psychological Association, The Washington State Psychological Association, and the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology.
Dr. Prinster has over ten years clinical experience with adults and children working in outpatient clinics, hospitals, and university settings. He emphasizes the use of evidence supported treatment and outcome assessment in his clinical work, combining treatments that are both tailored to individual needs and reflective of best-practice in the field of psychology.
